| Put it on ice. Numb aching airways with cold beverages, frozen yogurt or ice pops. Avoid juice because of the acid.
Pass the salt. Twice daily mix 1/2 tsp of salt into a cup of warm water and gargle. This helps draw fluid out of the inflamed throat tissue. It should help the swelling go down also. May even wash away viruses and bacteria _________________ Vicki

| Forgot to add that I have always suffered from a lot of sore throats and one thing that my Grandfather taught us years ago was to warm honey and lemon together for a soothing throat syrup. I guess the honey sort of mellows out the lemon so that it doesn't sting, but yet you get the vitamin c. It can help quiet a mild cough also. _________________ MARY |
