I read this on Yahoo news today.

I read on Yahoo news that California is wanting to slowly fade out regular lightbulbs and go to the incadent(sp) which is far better for the earth,,global warming etc..also is cheaper ,,cost wise to pull on your electric bill!

My goal is to replace ours when they go out in our home...anyone else use these?

we replaced our light bulbs and it was great ... we all have to do this sooner that later ...

I keep saying I am going to do this but never have. I always seem to get stuck with saying they are too pricey even though I know they pay off in the long run

we got ours form an organization I will ask Frank thruough our church they were alittle pricey but we felt they were worth it .. I dont like them in the kitchen over my stove and sink are still traditional kind....

I typed too fast today when I posted that..wasnt thinking right..its to use CFLs and not the incadasents(sp),,,but I am glad you all understood my crazy head!

I am like Vicki, the intention is always there but I just never have gotten around to it.
Maybe I should try from here on as each current bulb 'blows'!

are those the "swirlly"-shaped light bulbs? Cuz if so, then yes, we replaced all of ours last year...Hubby got them at dept. store(that sells seconds,fire-sale items,etc.) for 50 cents a piece. I think he stocked up!! Laughing

Yes cheapy i think they are,,wow you got a deal for 50 cents! I told my husband I want to change them one at a time as the old go out,,every lil bit helps,,

I am trying to make my home a more earth friendly place,,like energy saving,,lightbulbs,, recycle etc.

we got for Men of God but they no longer sell them Frank brought a bunch at lowes recently he said they were only about 1.00 more that good blubs

I usually only pay $.49 for a pack of 4 reg bulbs. SO these will have to replaced slowly
