| Well....DH has been complaining that when daylight starts to break around 5am it wakes him up leaking through the bedroom window around the timber blind! He asked me to put the curtains back up....but I donated them to a thrift store a few years ago when we bought the blind They'd been originally here when we'd bought the house and I'd already altered them to split in the middle (used to be one curtain which opened to one side). I've been pricing them the last week and the cheaper ones are very lightweight and won't make much difference at all. Then I remembered I have an old cream coloured blanket which I was going to donate...I don't much like the material as a blanket(throw) but then I thought to myself....hey....it's pretty heavy....I wonder if I could use it to make curtains for our bedroom.....wish me luck! _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| | Good for you skin. My mom always used sheets to make curtains so why not try using a blanket? Let us know how they come out. |
