| indoor air is far more contaminated than outdoor air.. To truly freshen your bathroom, you need to vent the odoriferous air outside. If the weather is warm open a window and turn on the exhaust fan.
If you can't open a window, light a match. A lit match will completely consume the odor _________________ Vicki |

| Useful info. thanks Vicki. We are lucky in that our home had a large fan built into the hallway ceiling, covered by a grill that sits flush with the ceiling. We can open any window and turn on the fan which draws breezes through. It's good but on really hot days it just serves to move hot air around, still it helps I suppose. It works best on days which are not so hot. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| Any suggestions on cleaning the air when people burn wood in their fireplaces? Sometimes, our house just reaks of smoke even with the windows closed. My father almost had an asthma attack one night because the smell was so bad. We have an electric air filter that we run at night in our bedroom, but nothing seems to help when people are burning green or wet wood.
There is a law against burning wood in the summertime outside, but nothing about wood fireplaces inside. It's becoming a real health issue in our area because the houses are so close together. |

| I am only finding stuff if the wood burning stove is in your home. It looks as though it is the other persons responsibility but I will keep searching. _________________ Vicki |

| | Thanks, Vicki, for looking, but I don't think there is any information out there except using the air filtration units. |
