| I'm in the final hour's countdown to 'Earth Hour' this evening. Everyone has been asked to participate by turning out all their lights (and switching off appliances at the wall) between 8p.m. and 9p.m. A few businesses will also be taking part including the casino in the city. I rarely use candles, occasionally in the bathroom or for my oil burner, although I have a little stash for 'just in case' scenarios. I have everything set up all ready to go, lots of vanilla scented floating candles which I bought on clearance I have other candles too but will save those for emergencies! I'll be doing my bit plus the place will smell good...lol. It will be interesting to hear about the overall effect in power reduction. _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |

| It began in Sydney last year and this year they want to make it global. Sydney kicked off an hour before us as they're one hour ahead of us on the clock. I've read they expect 70% of Canadians to participate. It's been heavily advertized on t.v. and radio here over the last several weeks. DH arrived home just before 9p.m. tonight and asked why I was sitting in the dark (I did have candles lit...lol), then he remembered! _________________ ~ LESS IS MORE ~ |
