| Anyone have squirrels where you live,,that come up to your home often? We have noticed last year of several squirrels have this routine in our yard,,,up the front yard, on the porch, over to the roof and up this old pine tree, in the corner and disappear.I noticed last night, of a huge type nest in the pine tree,,its atleast 2 feet wide and 2 feet long. Its high up in the tree but not quite the top.Im trying to look up squirrels etc.to get info on them.I thought this would be a good learning experience for the grandkids.Watch the squirrels,,build feeders etc for them, let them get involved with outdoor life. I mentioned this to a coworker and she said squirrels were a pest and that I should not try to feed them with feeders etc.Said they cause more problems.I havent had any problems yet, we havent set out feeders etc. yet to get their attention. The idea behind it was more outside things since the its getteing warmer here.Bird feeders and squirrel feeders,,bird baths, gardens etc.Just to show and learn new things for them when they come over. |

| We have a lot of squirrels in our area. I had a wreath with fake leaves on it hanging on my front door. I heard a bang and looked out the window. The squirrel was trying to get to the wreath. My brother had a squirrel chew through his window screen.
We don't put out bird feeders anymore because of the rat problem in our area. I do, however, put out a bird bath in the summer. The squirrels jump off the back fence and get a drink from the bird bath. I don't mind. They get thirsty, too.
You just have to be careful. If they get into the house, they'll tear it apart trying to get back outside. |

| Ok, I have to admit that squirrels freak me out big time. They just look like furry rats to me and I have a huge fear of rodents! Apparently a lot of squirrels also have rabies in this area, so we do have to be very careful. _________________ MARY |

| | When I was 4 years old, I was standing underneath our big maple tree in the back yard. I looked up in time to have a squirrel land on my face, straddling it with its body. My mother freaked seeing a squirrel clinging to my face. I don't remember the incident, nor am I afraid of squirrels. |
