| I was wondering if anyone uses the organic types. I've been reading a lot about these and am seriously thinking of switching over. The makeup and moisturizer I currently use is good, but very expensive. I only wear makeup once or twice a week, mostly on weekends, and I don't feel the money I'm spending is worth it.
I'm concerned about switching because I have sensitive skin, prone to dryness, breakouts and eczema. I've read the product literature and testimonials and it sounds like the organics will be OK to use.
(I posted here because I figured this is part of going green) |

| Sounds interesting and worth trying Sissy. I don't know much about them I must admit, I don't wear make-up much anymore and am very naughty by rarely moisturizing. My mum was the complete opposite, she always slathered both on...lol. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| Don't use makeup anymore, I agree with Sissy, it just doesn't seem worth the money...I do use organic cleansers and moisterizers (exception is Ponds moisturizer which is pretty healthy stuff even if not officially organic). I was looking for a richer overnight moisturizer and found a Jason's brand aloe vera cream that works very nicely and is actually cheaper that the non-organics that are loaded with junk.... _________________ Love is a fruit, in season at all times and within the reach of every hand. | As for make-up, I use an eyeliner pencil & mascara on Saturday only!! Don't have time to bother on weekdays & I'm sure the babies don't mind what I look like!! Sundays, I just don't wanna be bothered! My eyeliner & mascara are both from Aveda. Not organic, but have some natural ingrdients & I feel they use only high-quality ingredients. They are also a socio-environmentally-concious company.
I DO moisturize & definitely use organic!! it's comparable in price & gives me peace-of-mind. _________________

| | Thanks for the input. I'm going to try some of the organic makeup and switch moisturizers. I'll let you know how things work out. |

| When I wear makeup I wear blush (Mary Kay given to me), mascara (Avon on sale) and eyeliner (dollar store). I usually only wear it on special occasions. Sometimes use mineral oil as a moisturizer otherwise I don't bother _________________ Vicki

| I wear lipstick every day, and reapply went the going gets tough! I like the Revlon 18 hour super stay. I also use Aveno SPF 15 or above moisturizer every day and I really like it. For a nighttime cream I use Ponds. When I where blush or tanning powder I use the mineral stuff and like it better than regular blush. _________________ Dear Lord, help me remember how lucky I am on both the good and the bad days! |

| I'm glad this post was pulled up, again. I've switched over to Burt's Bee products. I've been using the Radiance day cream as a moisturizer and I just bought the scrub and cleanser yesterday. The scrub is fabulous. It leaves my skin really silky smooth. I haven't tried the cleanser yet. I'm trying to use up the old stuff I have. I even have dh using the products and his dry, irritated skin is looking better. I'm sold on this product. I have to tell you, I've been paying $45.00 a month for moisturizer from the store at the mall. I just can't afford that anymore. It's not worth the money.
I've been using Physician's Formula foundation for my makeup. I'm still on the fence with this. Sometimes, it goes on well and other times, it's thick and clumpy. I have to experiment with this.
What I like about these products, though, they're all natural and not animal tested and the prices fit my budget. |

| Hi Donna, It's the Physician's Formula mineral powder. The brush and power is in one piece so it works well in my purse or overnight bag. I have a reddish complexion and I don't like foundation, this powder just evens out my skin tones a little. _________________ Dear Lord, help me remember how lucky I am on both the good and the bad days! |
