| Last night, the local cops came over to see if we own a piggy. People a couple of houses across from us saw a pig in their front yard and called the police. They were not upset, but were concerned that someone lost their pig.
Squiggy has been running to the neighbors every time he sees someone outside. It's been a little bit of a problem these past few weeks, especially with Todd at the Akron house so much.
Well, today Todd made a piggy pen for Squiggy. Alot of the wood used was from a fence we tore down in the front yard. I think it turned out really well. Squiggy does not like that he is in an enclosed area.
When we go to work, he's got a pen inside that he stays in and is fine with. The one outside is MUCH bigger (4-5 times as big) where he can run around, go potty where he wants, scratch his back on a tree, lay down and catch some rays, and we plan on putting a child pool in there in the Summer so he stays cool.
So...hopefully no more visits from the police because of Squiggy. Luckily, the cop didnt mention anything about a leash law, or having a permit. He was pretty cool about it.

| Squiggy will be a lot safer now, it's kinda lucky the neighbours showed concern. It would've been terrible if he had got lost or met with an accident. The pen sounds pretty neat and you've put a lot of consideration into it. I'm sure he'll learn to become contented with it. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |
