I am keeping my goal at $500 for right now. If I stay under this month I will reduce it to $400 next month

What makes you decide on the amount to limit yourself to...do you base it on family size,,family needs,,or the budget,,money coming in etc etc.I just cant decide on what to set ours on.I hate to pass up a sale on items I know we use and could stock up on,,but by doing this it makes me go over the budget.How do you base yours on.

I try to get mine as low as I can. This makes me more awae of what mt needs and wants are.

My goal for October is $250.
I went over budget by over $80 last month due to a sale.
I found another sale and bought some items yesterday ($0.99/lb pot roasts!). Not to mention this is a 5 week month.

Also... Todd has a new schedule and we will be eating dinners together again every night. I am trying new recipes with salmon, shrimp, etc.

Last night, I spent $11.99 at the grocery store buying the roasts (9 pounds worth!) and bananas.

Today, I am going to several stores for sale items, and to pick up ingredients needed to help me be good on my diet.

I went and picked up some things we needed and spent $76.29. I need a few more things so we will see.

I spent $108.74 at several different stores yesterday.
We dont have any more room in the fridge or freezer. We should be good for a couple of weeks.

Yikes - we spent almost half of my month's total in one week. I lost a coupon that wouldn't have given me 5% off my total grocery bill. I got home and there is was lying in our driveway.

I picked up a few things over the weekend and spent $62.14 ,
our local IGA has bricks of cheese all kinds on sale for $ 1.00

Spent $156.62 this weekened but that included a hamper for lil dairns room, party supplies for his birthday, and tights to go with Baileys halloween costume.

Blah - over budget by $30.00. This coming month is going to be hard because I'll be shopping for the cookie ingredients.

Came under budge alot . but the next two month are crazy here I will no doubt double the buget and December I dont have a clue I will post but promise you wont throw rocks ..

I dont know exactly what my total was but I know it was under budget.
