| Went and did the first major grocery shopping since vacation.
At WalMart, kitty treats were $1.52/cannister. I had two coupons for $1.00 off.
Then, I had a BOGO for another cat treat. Two cost me $0.94.
Kitties should be set for many months on treats.

| I completely forgot to mention that I went to an auction this morning!
I got 4 comforters for Squiggy's pen(s) (He's got a crate where he sleeps, a pen where he stays while we are at work, and one outside) for $2, a winerack for $12.50, and a beautiful cherry cabinet/shelf unit for $17.50. Oh, and a crock pot, coffee maker, glasses, etc that came as a lot.
It was alot of fun.

| I went to a grocery store on the way home yesterday that had a sale on Sandwhich baggies. I compared the prices with the coupon to Walmart, and the store had a better deal. $2.39/box of 100. $0.40 coupon that would be doubled, which would make the box $1.59.
When I got to the checkout yesterday at the local store, my total for 4 boxes was $3.09 after coupons. I did not realize this, but the store had another sale of 2/$3! So I got 4 boxes of sandwich baggies for $0.70 each! These are the ziplock ones that have the seal (the only kind Todd will use).
These four boxes will last us a couple of years.

| I went to buy my bulk-package sizes of laundry detergent, dishwasher powder, bleach, toilet-rolls, and dog food today (all from the same store which is much cheaper than the supermarket ). They were all on special and I get a further 5% staff discount so I stocked up! I then only need to repurchase these items every few months or more, except for dogfood & loo rolls (approx. once per month). _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |
