We went to go see Todd's parents yesterday, and his dad found a chandelier for us for our Dining Room.

There are some things that he brings home for us that are NOT our taste at all. This chandelier is beautiful.

Todd and I are into items that are what we call "Classic Beauties" so that we dont have to change out everything every 10 years! This chandelier is perfect. We may need to get new glass sconces for them (they are a little outdated), but those cost less than $2 each at Home Depot/Lowes. Good thing there are only 6 that are needed!

Todd's father works for a company that owns and maintains many rental properties. He goes "dumpster diving" or just takes stuff that people leave behind when they clean out a rental. We've received free wood from him, baskets, a piece of marble countertop (we dont know what to use it on just yet), tables, etc.

That's a great find M, they can get pretty pricey to buy new.

I received a $50 gift card in the mail from my bank.
I'm not sure the reason this time, but keep 'em coming! :-)

I almost forgot - I snagged a 2 more planters ( huge metal planters) from the vacant house next door.

It will be perfect for planting flowers in or some veggies/herbs.

Went to a thrift shop today and found a "transformer figure(toy) for my grandson for 99cents,,a small kitchen funnel for 79 cents and a nice pair of sandles for 2.99! Its hard for me to buy shoes,,I have a foot that swells,,holding water,,and it makes sandle too tight on that foot,,these shoes have like a nice stretchy material ,,so its not uncomfortable!

Ok,,now for our HUGE cheap thrill of the YEAR...my dad GAVE me his older car.,,ts a 95 Mercedes Benz...FREE.Even paid for the plates,,all we had to do is pay for the title change which was 6.25! I was so happy I couldnt believe it! We needed a second car so much,,but I just wanted to get 3 credit cards paid off before we take on another payment. Now theres no payments at all!Praise the Lord!

Wow, that certainly was a huge thrill Donna, very generous of your Dad. I'm sure it'll make life much easier for you too, less juggling around, now if it would only run on carrot juice...lol.

Nice score with the $50 voucher M!
