Great deals again Gayla.

Great deals for you also M - wish you lived closer. I have been throwing watermelon rinds in the woods all weekend and today, and we go through at least 1 orange a day here

Great deals ladies.
I went to collect the calligraphy set today and the lady from freecycle gave me an ex-library book on calligraphy to go with it.
As I'd driven that way, I also visited a large thrift store which is normally a bit further than I'd go. I got a great thick & cuddly cable-knit blue polo neck sweater, a lightweight blue denim skirt for summer and a book by one of my current fav. authors.
It's good to finally score a few thrills this month even if they've been mostly late in coming.
Better late than never, hey? Smile

Just a small freebie from the dumpster - a sturdy white plastic 5 shelf unit that just fit in a small space between my stacked file cabinets and the wall of my dining room (not a quarter of an inch to spare!!)....it will hold my stock pile of extra paper goods and bottles of juice and my daughter's never ending supply of Cheerios Cool

Today is Todd's birthday, and I got him a DVD Recorder so that he can record DVD's that we get from the library if he likes them, or shows from our Ti-Vo onto a DVD.

Because I work in the media industry, I have some connections. I have a friend (wholesaler) in Columbus that I talk to daily. I even call him when we're on vacation to catch up, get him gifts for his wedding, his babies arrival, etc. Because he is a distributor, he gets alot of returns for damaged product. He said he'd send me some DVD's to use with our new recorder. I was thinking no more than 10-25.

The box he sent me had over 250 discs!!!
The least expensive DVD-R out there right now is $0.55/each. At that cost, my friend saved me over $125 (that is actually more than what I bought the DVD Recorder for). I was baffled. And the product he sent me is a better brand than the $0.55 product.
