Yesterday, my mom met me at a mall between where she lives and where I live. I was able to tell her about our New York city trip, and she's so excited.

She bought lunch for the two of us, then we went to the dollar theater to see "27 dresses" which cost $2.50, and then she took me to Kohl's and bought me a pair of new dress pants for work, a sweater, and a short sleeved shirt for Easter! It was very nice of her.

We also went to Home Depot, and she actually listented to Todd and heard he needed a new tool. So, I took him home a new tool, and he was so surprised that she even remembered. My mom is like that -she takes in gift information all year round, and then surprises you on it at holiday time.

PS
I forgot to mention that Todd brought home some pots for me for Easter from work (they were free - he works in a plastics plant that makes pots). Two of them are really big, and would make beautiful decorative pieces in front of the house, and then the rest are for our roma tomatoes (the upside down thing). He got 6 of those.

We had a breakfast after Sonrise service this morning and one of ladies gave me a carton of 18 eggs because they bought too many.

Another older lady in the church said she had something for the kids. She gave me 4 White chocolate bunnies for the kids and a large Easter Basket filled with candy for them. They were so thrilled as the Easter bunny had only brought them each a pack of gum, a piece of chocolate and a pack of candy. They were happy with that but even more so after they got everything else.

Glad to hear of the Easter candy blessings, Vicki...it does seem that in this world of excess, how something like white chocolate can be so thrilling...we definitely need to focus more on those little blessings...
