There was a community yard sale in the next town over (5 minutes away ) If I didn't have to take the younger ones with me I probably would have been able to find more.

Stopped on the way home from church got to portable dishwasher for $10.00 Frank already checked them work like a charm
I got a very nice end of the bed chest for $7 ...
we stopped at the farmer market I got romas for $.78 a pound got alot of those and lettuce 3 head for $1.00
I got fresh butter for $1.50 a pound ( I dont have to make butter tomorrow )
and got bell peppers 6 for $1.00 they small but very good
and I brought 5 organic chicken dressed for $4.00 a piece .

I collected a 'practically' new sleeping bag and cover today from a lovely older couple through Freecycle. It had only been used on one trip. It's going to be passed on during May's Homeless Connect Day. I really couldn't thank them enough.
I met a friend for coffee and she passed on to me 3 bags full of fantastic cuddly toys that her daughter wanted to donate for children also. There's a huge cuddly bunny rabbit in one bag with big floppy ears which is really a hot-water-bottle cover. I'm so tempted to sneak it out as I've fallen for it but that would be naughty....lol.

My boss wanted to get rid of his peony plants. So, dh and I drove there and got 3 free white peony plants. The transplanting went well and they're standing up nicely.

My brother came over to our house on Sunday morning and said if we want some free soil for the garden to bring our buckets. His neighbor re-landscaped his front yard and is giving the old soil away. All we have to do is shovel it ourselves.

It was a nice "free" weekend.

Skin,,you coould take the hot water bunny for your aches and pains and replace it with 2 items! This way the shelter is getting double the item!
I like how theres things like that in your area,,I never hear of projects like that around here except for the food panrty and they mainly ask for assistance during holidays.
Skin,,you have made me to be more aware of my surroundings etc.Im going to see what I can do to help out too!Thanks girlfriend!
