| Yesterday I received 50 craft magazines from freecycle! I am keeping close to 20,,some are too old and outdated with some crafts(clothing designs etc) and we will donate them to a thrift shop. Also took our oldest grandson to a thriftshop yesterday and was able to find 4 shirts for him at just pennies each..some with Harry Pottter on it and 2 with racing cars on them(his favorite).I dont think hes ever been to a thrift shop before! So he was thrilled to grab anything he wanted in his size and toss in the basket! My husband found a t shirt and a small clip on light for projects in the garage and I found 2 pieces of tupperware for my lunch packing,,total came up to a little over 6.00! |

| Great bargains and finds Vicki, Donna and Gayla.
I'm not sure if mine is really a thrill or not but I'm posting it anyway...lol. Last autumn we purchased a dual-control electric blanket for our bed. We hadn't used it for several months and then DH discovered a few weeks ago that his side had stopped heating although my side was working fine. When I found the receipt we were 2 weeks over a 12month warranty, as I ASSUMED!!! Luckily I had kept the original packaging for storage (as I do with quilts and blankets) and the label said 24 months warranty! I packaged it up and took it back to the store today with the receipt, they didn't have any more to replace it with so they simply refunded it with no hassles whatsoever. That's what I call great customer service
I shall have to shop around for another good deal on a new one, meanwhile I'll be using my hot water bottle, I should buy one for DH too huh? lol
OH...one more thrill...our neighbour rang to tell us she's sending us in dinner of beef curry tonight so no cooking tonight, a FREE dinner _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| We picked up a stand alone basketball hoop on the side of the road over the weekend. The backboard was broke and they were tossing it. A piece of plywood and it will be great for Darin!! _________________ Vicki
