| Is there any kitchen appliance you could, literally, not do without? I'm not talking about your stove or refrigerator, but small appliances. _________________ Gayla

| Microwave. We use it all of the time.
I think Todd would say his toaster oven. :-)

| Since I love my cuppa I'd have to say kettle, but I could still make do with the cooktop or micro for that. The microwave would be 2nd on my list but I wouldn't say I couldn't do without them even though they're convenient. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |

| | I think it would be the microwave, too. We use it a lot more than we use the oven or stove top. |

| | The toaster. I can't see heating up an entire oven just for my morning toast and hot buttered toast in the morning is one of the greatest things in the world. Especially with cinnamon and sugar. |

| I do like my things with cords....toaster, coffemaker, microwave (mostly for reheating and thawing), and can think of a few more that I would enjoy owning. Like Kim, I have had to do without them before when they broke, and just had no choice but to learn to adapt. I know that I would willingly do that again if it became necessary, but life sure is easier plugged in! _________________ MARY |

| Don't really have an appliance I couldn't do without. I too have had to do without and could do without again. _________________ Vicki |
