2 cups strawberries mashed
2 cups sugar
3 ounces liquid pectin
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 teaspoons red food coloring

Stir the berries and sugar together in a large bowl, blending well, and let stand for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the pectin, lemon juice and food coloring, blending well,
and stir constantly for 3 minutes.
Spoon the jam into the jars prepared for freezer jams

My favorite flavor of jam and this is a perfect summer recipe with no heat involved! My Mom used to make strawberry freezer jam when I was a kid and it was so delicious--very fresh tasting. I did not realize that they made liquid pectin now, which would make it all the easier.
