MILK SOUP

1 qt. milk (homogenized)
2 c. uncooked noodles
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp. butter
Bring milk to boil in heavy aluminum 3 quart kettle.
Add noodles. Stir often; simmer until noodles are tender.
Add butter and seasonings (allspice or nutmeg and sugar can be sprinkled over soup at time of serving)

Is this an "old timey" recipe? Those who came before us really knew how to take a few ingredients and make something warm, nurishing and delicious to feed their families.
