COCA COLA CHICKEN

1 chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 (12 oz.) can Coca Cola
3 tbsp. flour

Put chicken into baking dish. Mix Coca Cola, soup mix and flour together. A whisk does a good job. Pour over chicken. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until done. Serve with rice or potatoes. The sauce makes its own gravy.

COCA COLA CHICKEN

1 chicken
1 c. Coca Cola
1 c. tomato ketchup
Salt and pepper to taste

Cut up the chicken as for frying. Place it in a deep pan that is oven safe. Salt and pepper chicken. Mix together the Coca Cola and the ketchup. Pour over chicken. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

COCA COLA CHICKEN

Chicken breasts or pieces
1 c. Coca Cola
1 c. barbecue sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

Skin chicken; arrange skillet. Pour coca cola and barbecue sauce over chicken. Let come to a rolling boil; lower heat and simmer for 1 hour.

You can also add Worcestershire sauce, onions, etc. It's one of "those" recipes that you can do a lot with - add whatever you want.

These would be really tasty. I can not turn on my oven this summer, because of the heat, but I think they would be great done in the crockpot (especially the last two recipes).

This sounds interesting! Also sounds easy (right up my street...lol). I think I'll try 1 and 3, I don't like tomato ketchup, although I eat tomatoes (yeah...I know!). DH loves tomato ketchup but won't eat tomatoes...lol.

I spray the inside and unless I pre heat the chicken I cook on high. ( I worry about chicken cooking on low ) I think that would not be a probem for the new crockpots , but I use my older crockpot ,

Not sure of the brand it says Crockpot A slow cooker and then on the other side it says the Smart Pot. This was purchased 4 years ago so it isnt brand new.
