Golden Cresent Rolls

2 packages of active dry yeast
3/4 cup warm water
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup shortening
4 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup butter, softened
Dissolve yeast in water.
Stir in sugar, salt, eggs, shortening and 2 cups flour, beat to smooth.
Add remaining flour, mixing to smooth. Knead dough, let cover and rise to double.
Punch down, divide in half. Roll each half into 12 inch circle, spread with butter.
Cut into wedges (about 10-15), roll up wedges starting at widest end.
Place wedges with point under on greased baking sheet, cover, let rise to double.
Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 mins or golden brown.
You can brush tops with butter when done.
