| This morning, I am making breakfast for Todd and I. I was thinking about something different. Todd loves Mexican food.
So, I decided to put a $0.29/pkg of Jiffy Cornbread mix, 1/2 container of eggwhites ($0.90), 1 can of diced tomatoes with chiles ($0.59 from Aldi's), 1 can of corn ($0.39 from Aldi's).
Mixed them all together, and put them in the oven like a loaf of bread. It should be done in about 20 minutes. I'll let everyone know how it turned out. Total cost is $2.17 for something that is the size of a loaf of bread.

We just had it, and it turned out pretty good. There is enough for another whole breakfast. It fills you up fast. The diced tomatoes with chili really give it a kick. Overall, not too bad. Alot cheaper than going out to eat, that's for sure. _________________ "It is not how much money you make - it is how you spend it." |
