I found this recipe in a Rachael Ray magazine.Let me type the recipe out to you and I need help with making this diet friendly. What can I replace,,with the high calorie for lower calories.

Strawberry whipped sensation

4 cups fresh strawberries divided
1 can (140z) of sweetened condensed milk
1/4 lemon juice
1tub of Cool Whip
8 Oreos cookies finely chopped
1 TBS melted butter

Line a loaf pan(8x4) with foil.Mash 2 cups of strawberries in large bowl.Stir in condensed milk juice and 2 cups of Cool Whip, pour into pan

Top with combined chopped cookies and butter, press into mixture.Cover.

Freeze at least 6 hours. To serve, invert onto plate..remove foil and frost tops and sides withremaining CoolWhip.Top wth remaining strawberries as a garnish and slice to servings.Makes 12 servings.

The picture of this looks so light and fluffy,,like a nice desert on a hot day,,or something light after a heavy meal. The cookie part when turned out onto plate looks like a chocolate crust on the bottem.

To make it more diet friendly,,,I know I can get Cool Whip in a low calorie but what about the Oreos,,Sweetend Condense milk scratch

Thanks for your help!

Donna you can make you own condenesed milk . and cut back there

1/3 cup evaporated fat-free milk + 3/4 cup sugar + 2 tbsp butter or margerine & heat all until dissolved
or
1 cup low-fat sweetened condensed milk combine
1 cup + 2 tbsp nonfat dry milk powder + 1/2 cup warm water, then add 3/4 cup sugar = 1 cup low-fat sweetened condensed milk

plain chocolate cook crust ... and use plain cookies for top

Low fat cool whip

and of course you can use something other than butter ..

I not sure about Splenda for the sugar ...I will research it for you

Instead of using regular oreos find the murry's sugar free cookies that look like oreos
