| Is there any kitchen appliance you could, literally, not do without? I'm not talking about your stove or refrigerator, but small appliances.

| hmm....no I don't think there is b/c I have gone with and wihout most everything at one point or another...I don't have a favorite appliance at all  |

| Microwave.
We use it all of the time.

| Since I love my cuppa I'd have to say kettle, but I could still make do with the cooktop or micro for that. The microwave would be 2nd on my list but I wouldn't say I couldn't do without them even though they're convenient.

| I do like my things with cords....toaster, coffemaker, microwave (mostly for reheating and thawing), and can think of a few more that I would enjoy owning. Like Kim, I have had to do without them before when they broke, and just had no choice but to learn to adapt. I know that I would willingly do that again if it became necessary, but life sure is easier plugged in!

| Don't really have an appliance I couldn't do without. I too have had to do without and could do without again.
