1 lbs cooked chicken or turkey chopped in 1/2 inch pieces
3 peeled and chopped potatoes
1 small chopped onion
1 bag of fozen peas and carrots
2 cups homemade or low salt chicken or turkey broth
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 can of cresent rolls

Cook potatoes and onion in the broth till just tender then add the vegetables and simmer just till warm, remove from the broth, saving the broth for the sauce.
Spread the chicken and vegetables in a deep dish pie plate or casserole
In a sauce pan melt the butter and then stir in the flour and cooked til bubbly and very light brown (this is known as a rue and is the base for many sauces) slowly add the broth stirring to keep from sticking to the bottom, when it gets to the consistancy of heavy cream pour over the chicken and vegetables. (You can avoid this step and just use Cream of Chicken soup thinned with the broth if you don't have time to make the sauce.)
Unroll the can of cresent rolls and cover the casserole with 1 layer of the dough. (I roll the extra and bake along with the casserole) Cook on 350 til crust is golden brown.

Gayla,
I was wondering if you thought it would be work to substitute your recipe for 3 ingredient dinner rolls for the cresent rolls?
