| Hubby and I have decided to buy a freezer,,nothing to big,,but just what we can afford. We saw one the other day and it was huge,,good price but we both looked at each other and said,,we'd never be able to fill this up"!
I have chopped up a onion and a greenpepper and put in a ziplock bag in our freezer in the fridge.Hubby liked that so when he wanted a lil green pepper or add onion to my dish,,he could just grab some. But when I made pizzas the other night,,my onions thawed and were soft, not crispy. Is there a trick in freezing veggies ,Id like to stock up on things from farmers markets ,meat and veggies and fruits. Also salsa's from a garden we wanna try this spring. |
