| I get emails at times from Martha Stewarts website.Today a craft idea was in my email that was so easy and cute Id had to share! LOL
They were called Sweater Mittens. So simple of a pattern,,the site shows how you cut out the shape of mittens,,(which you can alter to fit all sizes of hands) from old sweaters. This is such a reuseable resourceful recycling idea.
Tells the best way to cut and to stitch and add on to if you want.I thought this would so cute to make a set of mittens from a sweater that was the childs when they were younger or with sentimental feelings to it.Instead of sweaters in boxes that dont fit anymore,,this would be a free pair of mittens for the cold days ahead!
Or even more frugal for Christmas this comming year..I know its only February but,,when the thrift shops sell out the winter clothing,,that would be the time to grab a few sweaters cheaply and could make probably make at least 8 pairs a sweater(?)..possibly. |
