| We are having 3 grandkids this weekend,,I am planning things that wont cost much,,,or anything at all! Once we made dog treats,,they all loved making them.....as did the dog....so I have all the ingredients but one,,so theres a cheap entertainment. Also going to let them help make dinner,,that always goes over good.
I am trying to remember games when we were their ages,,you know the days without video games,,movie renting,,,or driving to arcades...LOL The days we created games and played games at home and had a blast doing it! I remember Red Rover red Rover,,,,Jacks,,,,Hopscotch..Duck Duck Goose. Tag,Freeze tag...Now I am stuck: ..cant think of anymore,,,senior moment!,,,What games are there for kids to play ,,with out getting arcades,,video games etc!:bball:What did we play as kids?? |

| Indoors we used to play 'I spy, with my little eye..'
We played 'Snap' with cards.
We played 'Jacks' (I loved this).
We played 'Hide & Seek'.
We played records and made up dance routines...my fav. was 'Summer Lovin' from Grease Then we'd put on a show after a few rehearsals! I'm so glad my parents didn't have a video camera...lol.
My mum used to place miscellaneous items onto a tray or table-top, let us look at everything for a few moments, then cover everything with a towel and see who could remember the most items. No idea what that was called. 'The Memory Game'? lol.
I used to love swing hula hoops too, or playing handball etc.
Like Kim, we also played shop. _________________ ~ By sowing frugality we reap liberty, a golden harvest. --Agesilaus ~ |
