Crying or Very sad I went to a new craft store yesterday which had opened in the new centre extension where I'm working. I was looking for brown/bronze sequins to make those little pudding xmas decorations I'd mentioned. They didn't have that colour Crying or Very sad What colours they did have was limited. Plus they were pretty expensive for many things. Even polystyrene balls were just under .50c each for the smallest size...I can buy those in multi-packs at The Warehouse for .99c. I will head off to Spotlight, a craft superstore at the weekend to see if I have better luck there, that's where I was going to purchase Xmas fabric also. I'll also check out thrift stores for the fabric.

You know those vinyl (fleece backed) table covers you can buy, they're about $2 each here? I was going to attempt to use a rectangular one and turn it into a large sack by stitching it up two sides on the reverse. I wonder if it would rip? For $2 I reckon it's worth experimenting...if I stuff it up I can cut it up for placemats! They bring them out with lovely Xmas patterns this time of year...they'd make ideal sacks for family gifts if it worked. Even the circular ones would look great as a giant sack, gathered up with a bow fastening at the top....$2!

I definitely wouldn't say 'talented' gayla....full of ideas (or something!) and often not much follow-through lol!

I do love my knitting though! I wish I loved cooking as much as you ladies, I'm not very creative in that department Embarassed Who wants to go to all that effort when pretty soon there's nothing left to show for it.... lol!
