OK...may I ask once more for the use of your creative minds! You gave me alot of ideas for the kitchen,,Id like to get ideas on a playhouse/tree house from you all.We have access of free lumber right now,,,not real sure how much but what ever is free is less than what we have to go purchase!

Anyway we plan on using the corner of the backyard as a tree house type playhouse for grandkids...its only gonna be maybe 4-6 feet in the air on stilts/post..it can have 2 levels if needed...But,,what I need from you all are some great ideas for it,,or things to add to it for the kids. The ages are 2 to 8(soon to be 9)

Maybe a lookout tower,,or a cabin,,or has anyone built before ,,what did you do to yours...thanks so so much for the ideas! idea

Well, our play house is tall and skinny...insdide we cut out a door and built a ladder to go up and out the door to a balcony that wraps around to the front and connects to a slide. It has a door and a window in the front and a diamond shaped window in the side...we put bark mulch all around...Smile Hope this helps!

I love the slide addition kim, that'd be so fun!

Donna, I've no experience of treehouses unfortunately but what a wonderful idea for your grandkids.
It'd be so great for kids to spend creative time away from t.v. and computer games etc...
A 'treasure-chest' with card-games, board-games, crayons and sketchpads, and most importantly...torches...would be good...maybe include a picnic rug or sleeping bags to sit on?
I read about someone using a bucket/pail attached to a rope for lifting smaller items up and down. A bell attached to a rope might be good too.
Someone even included a mailbox!!!

Oh, Donna! I hear ya!! I had my first child at 18, and like I said, he is 24...been going with the sweetest girl for 6 years now, and still won't commit to marriage! Crying or Very sad She will be 24 this mionth & she REALLY wants to have her children before age 30, but with no ring on her finger from "Mr. Stubborn"~ Rolling Eyes ~she is quite the confused, sad upset, anxious, frustrated, little girlfriend. Crying or Very sad (and I'm quite the confused, sad upset, anxious, frustrated, little mother! Crying or Very sad ).
He has told her that he wants her to be his wife (both in conversation, and in a love letter)...someday. But I'm just afraid that with time ticking away, she may not wait for him. I know he would like to have some money put away for the situation, but he doesn't appear to be saving(focusing) for it either, so I don't know how he thinks it will happen! Rolling Eyes without a little effort, ya know?
Argggg....I don't know. I think I'm almost as upset about it as she is. I know he's "only" 24, and that's not like pushing-30, but still....
Thanks for listening to me vent~ Wink
