| | I saw a craft for a quilt that anyone can do..They bought old sweaters from a thrift shop..the kind that has a pattern in the crotchet or knitted .Then cut out blocks of the sweaters..large blocks,,sew the blocks together,,which is just straight lines,,and then a back to it and you have a cozy throw quilt to curl up with in the evenings. Its on Womans Day website.I want to try this as soon as I get my craft room back!Just thought it was a easy, creative and frugal craft to try. |

| Sounds like a great idea Donna. I saw a similar one once in a home magazine (which I used to buy regularly before realizing I could borrow them for FREE from the library!). They'd used old pretty sweaters to make cosy cushion covers that looked like they'd been knit. Pretty nifty, huh?
Donna, I think I found the craft you're talking about (very nice), hope this is it:

| | That's a great idea. I've seen throw pillows made out of sweaters, too, but I never even thought of a quilt. Gives me an idea for some future Christmas presents. It would be nice to take my nieces old sweaters and make them into a quilt. It would be a nice keepsake for them. |
